Sensus
This project integrates cutting-edge 3D reconstruction techniques and multisensory interaction to create highly accurate VR space of historical Chinese sites. Through the combination of visual, olfactory, and haptic feedback, the experience enhances audiences' environmental perception and spatial memory in virtual environments, creating a more authentic and immersive connection to historical spaces. We established a comprehensive interaction pipeline by incorporating VR headsets with an Arduino-powered sensory system. As a team lead, I primarily worked on and supervised the on-site 3D scanning, mesh/texture optimization, procedural terrain generation, UE environment creation, and follow-up playtesting.
